I play a wide range of different instruments. You might be interested to know what instruments I use and why.

Flute
HI play a Yamaha 471 french open hole solid silver flute body and an Oleg solid silver handmade flute headjoint.

Soprano saxophone
I play a Selmer Mark 6 soprano saxophone, a piece that I bought in 2012 from Franta Kop. I use a handmade Morgan Jazz 7 mouthpiece with it, Borgani Flexitone ligature and Vandoren Classic Blue 2,5 reeds. For a Selmer, a naturally good sound and great tone colour flexibility are typical. My soprano sax has it too and that’s why I play it.

Alto saxophone
I play Selmer Balanced Action, an alto saxophone made in France and purchased in Australia. I use Morgan Jazz handmade 8M mouthpiece, Vandoren Classic Blue 2,5 or Gonzales Classic 2,5 or V12 2,5 reeds. One of the most beautiful alto sax sounds I have ever played. Simply Paul Desmond.

Tenor saxophone
Brought from South Africa, Selmer Mark VI, Morgan Excalibur 8M mouthpiece. Vandoren Classic Blue 2,5 or Gonzales Classic 2,5 reeds. Simply a tenor sax mark VI. Without F#.

Baritone saxophone
Buescher, Theo Wanne Durga 8* mouthpiece, Vandoren Classic Blue 2,5 mouthpiece. An amazing instrument, range only to Bb, but an absolutely gorgeous tone colour, perhaps due to the extraordinarily broad body.

Clarinet
SML Mariguax Paris, Morgan RM-28 mouthpiece, Vandoren Classic Blue 3 reeds.

Bass clarinet
Selmer, Selmer C* mouthpiece, Vandoren Classic Blue 3 reeds. Unfortunatelly I do not have as much time to play it as I would like to have.

Trumpet
Bach 37*, Harrelson Bravura, mouthpieces: GR mouthpiece 3HC*, 3MS, Levitin 4Solo. I use both instruments. The Bach is a classic 37 with a star, which means a lightweight body. They say it is better for jazz (than classical music). Might be right. The other instrument I use is a gold-plated custom-made American Harrelson trumpet, which is a lighter and cheaper version of Monette. It has an exceptionally nice tone. But I love to return to my Bach trumpet as well.

Flugelhorn
Scodwell (Goldbrass), Wick 4 mouthpiece. An absolutely brilliant instrument.
